White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a White healing dragon, Sanctus definitely earns the meaning of his name.  He is a proud and peaceful youngster whose sole lot in life is to take up the arts of his family's magic...and not just healing, but all of the powers that his ancestors wield.  He may never be as strong as his Black grandmother, or his Silver father, or many of the others...but magic is his greatest curiosity.  He has been named an honorary healer for the Stride Clan, as the honor was bestowed upon him by Silverstride, his grandfather.  This is because Sanctus the first White dragon to carry royal Stride blood.
