Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lurace is a tough, yet soft dragon who spends most of her time with the White dragons in the castle, tending to the injured or ill. The scent she gives off is a pleasant one to those around her, and the hatchlings nearby will often chase after the butterflies that are attracted by the smell. When she isn't dealing with those in need, the Black Tea dozes about, peacefully lazing in the sun, waking up covered in the little insects that would make up her next meal. Sometimes she'll wake up to a band of hatchlings trying to snatch the butterflies, failing in their attempt to be quiet, and hurriedly scampering off once they realize they've woken up the pink dragon. It's all in good humor though, and she simply goes back to sleep.
