Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sorrow flementia was given this name after her father died before her egg was laid. Her mother named her this because her mother was experiencing great sorrow. But then, after her young daughter hatched, Sorrows mother died. So her name has kept forever more, and she is known as Sorrow, the one of great sadness. She was eventually found by Ice, as a hatchling, who brought her into the clan. Everyone feels bad for her, and they always try to befriend her. Ice is like a mother to Sorrow, because when Sorrow's mother died Ice acted as Sorrow's foster mother, so Sorrow considers Ice her mother. But Sorrow knows they are too different to be mother and daughter, but she believes it is not the blood that means mother and daughter, it is the bond between the two. And the bond between Sorrow and her real mother, Pain flementia, were weak, every so weak. Which is why she considers Ice her mother.
