Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Despite this dragon's questionable heritage, her speed and skill as a racer have made her a highly coveted creature, and she regularly switches hands after transactions of hundreds of pounds of gold. She doesn't mind the consistent trading, however, so long as she gets to run--and eat. For anyone who owns her inevitably finds out very soon that her name has a meaning behind it--if she doesn't get her food when she wants it, she'll go absolutely berserk, kicking at riders and attendees and biting anyone who tries to get her on to the track unfed. But once she's had her meal, she's chipper as usual and will prance right out to win herself more shiny ribbons.
