Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As a mature hatchling, Boldsilver said the only four words of his life, and they were "I will protect them." He's stayed true to this statement ever since, never straying from the eggs and hatchlings. Though it doesn't really seem that he is, he's always taking in everything around him. He can see a lot from his position, and he knows a lot more about the dragons on the Crimson Island than many of the others—he is one of the only four dragons to know of Jadeclaw's mischief.

He's much loved by the young hatchlings, especially since most of them were abandoned at birth and needed someone to keep them safe, yet despite it all, he sometimes feels incomplete. Boldsilver uses the brief periods of time during which there are no eggs or hatchlings to care for to visit Lightningsoarer, his much-loved mate. The two of them love being with each other, even though they can't most of the time.

Blazewatcher is very peaceful, always trying to relax and get others to do the same, especially Bluefin.
