Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Before Voloe mated with Specio, he would challenge her to many races, winning nearly all of them. They would soar through the tops of the trees, Specio a greater size than her new friend. Voloe, as I observed, was obviously trying to impress her, and it apparently worked. The two mated, producing a whiptail egg. It's strangely larger than the normal whiptail egg, most likely a result of Specio's great size. Voloe also seems to grow more and more fond of his egg every day, an odd gesture for male dragons. He enjoys sitting with Specio while she incubates the eggs, although he is only interested in his own child.
