Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A friendly and happy dragon, despite his rather depressing upbringing, Arty loves to hang around with the Whiptails and Pygmies and other less-serious-inclined clan mates. He is generally well-liked although he is a bit silly. Arty also has the habit of rolling around in dairy products until he is covered in an oily skin, before undertaking any important task. He says that way he's "butter suited" for the job.
