Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Starkit. To most, she looks like any ordinary frozen hatchling. To most, she's cute and cuddly. But unless they're part of Lightningstreak's cave, most are wrong. Starkit, when she grew her wings, was very powerful, almost as powerful as her own mother, Sunneth. She was frozen by Lightningstreak, fearing Starkit's power once she had matured into a full-grown dragon. Starkit then turned into a little ball of hatred and fury, but tried to keep up an angelic attitude, to not get into trouble. There are only a few people who can see past her alluring veil. This includes Lightningstreak herself, and Malt Shake, who was almost persuaded to unfreeze Starkit during her time as a hatchling. Starkit has dreams of taking over her cave, and then possibly the world.
