Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon's name is Flight, Second Lineage. Flaugus has a timidity that almost seems out of place in a dragon. It's not like he's shy, but he always acts somewhat hesitantly, as if he's afraid something bad might happen. It doesn't help that, among the Second Lineage, Flaugus is the worst fighter, having been injured in a scuffle with trappers long ago. Still, he seems to be quite taken with The Lineage, and his friends are happy to see him excited about something for a change.

When a group of dragons joins this colony, they are known as a Lineage. Lineages are numbered chronologically, and the dragon takes on that number as part of its true name. Lineage members are often very close with each other, and are represented in colony matters by their Vaktar, or "Protector". The early lineages consist of four members, whereas the late lineages have five or more.
