Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. 2000 Years has taken the role of leader amongst his group of dragons (those who follow a human known as 'fog shadow'). As a storm dragon, his rise to prominence may be seen as a parallel to the many human mythologies that possess pantheons headed by a sky or thunder god, although the implications of this similarity remain to be investigated. The number of dragons 2000 Years presides over is slowly but steadily growing. Although quite as irritable as any storm dragon, 2000 Years evinces a tolerance—if not a fondness—for any young hatchlings under his rule, recognizing them as his future subjects.<br/>2000 Years is prone to solitary brooding, occasionally resulting in heavily overcast skies. In his better moods, he is accompanied in his aerial wanderings by Faithful Shadow; 2000 Years seldom finds this black dragon's services as a bodyguard necessary, but does appear to enjoy his companionship.
