Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Okiniiri doesn't really have a lot of hobbies, nor is she really creative enough to think up ways fill the free time in her week herself. So instead of trying to figure out personal activities to invest her time in, Okiniiri has taken to visiting her various family members and asking them what sort of bucket list plans they have at the moment. She then adds these to a list she carries everywhere with her, of all sorts of future events like helping someone look for a lost treasure, teaching a sibling how to braid flowers into a dragon's mane, climbing to a high hilltop to watch a sunset, and hosting small lunch parties for friends who keep forgetting to meet up. Every week Okiiniri looks for a few dragons in the family with a little time to spare and a bucket list wish in mind, to give her a project to keep her occupied. Her list is ever-growing, but Okiiniri likes things that way; it means she has plenty of fun activities to choose from and she'll never feel bored again.
