Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rithe adopted Turiae after Rithes biological daughter was killed in the Creorluna war. As a result, Rithe is highly protective of her, boarding obsessive.  

Rithe believes her daughter to be a radiant, obedient and sickly little girl won't listen to anyone who tells her otherwise.

Under the cover of false pretense, Turiae secretly leads a double life. She's a fighter, born and bred. What's more, Turiae is a particularly gifted fighter. She's chief of the Second Division of the Northern Union Army, led by the enigmatic L L. Fierce, competitive and ruled by impulse, Turiae is one of few who directly associates with L L.

Love is one of the few thing she's not competent with. She's easily confused by her own emotions...the strongest of which is her strange relationship with L L himself. She can't decide if she loathes him for his obnoxious habits or if she's in love with him. It doesn't help that he has an extremely nonchalant mate who doesn't seem to mind her sniffing around him.
