Gold-horned Tangars are a brightly colored tropical breed. They are primarily herbivores, and eat a wide variety of fruits and flowers in addition to the occasional bird. Tangars are well suited to life in the trees; their slender bodies make them light enough to be supported by thinner branches and agile enough to avoid obstacles while flying. Their brightly colored horns, found in both males and females, are used to attract mates.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Many decades ago, or so it seems to Traveler, Traveler the Gold-horned Tangar was struck by a powerful whirlwind while flying along the coast, which flung him out to sea. With a broken wing and no sense of direction to get back to the mainland Traveler thought himself doomed to drown at sea, however a friendly leviathan of a deep sea dragon by the name of Si'Drakue carried Traveler to a chain of islands. Traveler learned that first night he was not alone on the island when a horde of rambunctious pygmy dragons swarmed him! Fearing he would be eaten, he shook himself and the tiny pygmy dragons were tossed off him like drops of water. Traveler later learned they were simply happy to meet him and swarmed him in their excitement seeing a foreigner. Despite offers from Si'Drakue to carry him to the mainland, Traveler has since grown to love the islands and enjoys observing and categorizing the many variations of pygmies that occur on each island.
