Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Blenda's name, which means "the dazzling bright wanderer", does not come from her appearance. Though she inherits the beautiful color from her Autumn dragon race, the savage heat of a forest fire that Blenda experienced in her childhood has left its hideous marks all over her left side. Still that mishap from the past doesn't prevent Blenda to nurture a bright and cheerful spirit. She is always friendly and happy, always giving her best in anything she does. Over the time, Blenda's passionate love for life has helped her to develop a special ability. With just a touch of telepathy, she can dazzle other dragons with fleeting images of her glorious season, of sunny chrysanthemum, of the burning flame that dances on falling leaves.

To every dragon's surprise, Blenda has offspring with the most gorgeous and popular dragon of her clan. Heliodoros Iairos, after fooling around with many females, finally settles down, madly in love with the unattractive dragon because of her beautiful soul.
