Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kjartani is a young Flamingo Dragon. While flying one morning he came across a large, colorful tent where he heard much laughter. Upon flying down, he realized it was a circus. "What fun!" he thought to himself as he laid in front of the big top and watched many strange animals and human do silly things with nets, balls and ropes. Upon the arrival of Jaroarber, another Flamingo Dragon, Kjartani was in love. Yes, although it was with another male dragons, Kjartani could not keep himself from loving him. He joined the Magicfire Circus to be with Jaroarber.
