Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crystal Illumina is a playful and energetic dragon who likes racing through and leaping out of the peaceful lagoon where she lives, accompanied by her mate Shimmering Illumina Scales and the other Two-finned Blunas. Sometimes the more sedate Deep Sea dragons join in too. In the evening, she swims to shore to meet her ex-mate and faithful friend Rufus Sunset. Crystal is matriarch of an ever growing family of Illuminas, some of whom live with other groups of dragons instead of her owner's.
