Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Megan is an extremely cryptic dragon, despite her age; she seems to be wise beyond her years, often sharing strange stories and fairytales about death and the passing of time that very few dragons of her age would even bother to listen to. She's still surprisingly innocent, even with her obsession with philosophy and the afterlife; the only dragon that Megan really trusts is the Siyat dragon Sal Fisher, which doesn't come as that much of a shock, considering how much Sal and his friends also chase after the supernatural.

Just like Sal, Megan's superstitions often get in the way of her life, and she'll frequently refuse to leave her lair without lucky charms or "spells" to supposedly keep her safe. No dragon's sure whether these actually work, but Megan's never been seriously hurt and seems to stay out of trouble, most of the time; that's proof enough for her to keep practicing her rituals.
