Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

After several years of finding her larder ransacked and little 'presents' in her sock drawer, the cave mistress had had enough. It was time to do something about the tiny furry vermin that plagued her home. She went out and located a rather peculiar egg that hatched into the cheese dragon Turophobia. Even though he has no need to eat, he makes a rather good mouser.

A few weeks later, the cave mistress's larder is untouched and her sock drawer clean, although the tiny damp and brief squeaks coming from underneath her bed as he deals with another mouse keeps her awake at night.
