Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Different from her Winter Dragon brothers who chose to stay in the Dark Sun clan, Renitar believed that her destiny was on white-coated mountains rather than among green trees of the forest. Luckily for her, since her father was a respected Defender, the clan didn't think of her dream as a betrayal. Rather, they gave her a magic recommendation communication orb and sent her to the Icy Moon, a powerful clan in the frozen lands of the North.

In the contented life she now leads on the snowy mountains, sometimes Renitar still dreams of the greenness that once enveloped her existence. With respect to her birthplace, Renitar develops a fighting style in which she can create and control hundreds of flying ice blades, each with the shape of a leaf. She doesn't think of returning to visit the old places though. The Icy Moon clan is now her home.
