Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aerich is quieter than most, with a tendency to watch rather than get involved. He is a logical thinker, and loves to unravel mysteries, intrigues, and riddles. As such, he thoroughly enjoys watching (and occasionally interacting) with humans. Such curious creatures, its no wonder he can't avoid trying to figure them out!

While he prefers logic over involvement, Aerich knows quite well how to handle himself in a scuffle. This is due in part to his unusual coloring. As a hatchling, it made him easy to spot by potential predators, and in his full grown form, it makes him quite the trophy for potential glory-seekers. While he doesn't rely on magic, he's thoroughly skilled in physical combat.

In his pastime, Aerich enjoys living among human nobles, where he tells wonderful tales of a fallen house of royalty. One might wonder if some of his tales are based on his own past.
