Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mithletoe was so named due to what can only be described as a lisp. If the occasion calls for it and she has to defend herself, the most menacing sound she can muster is a gentle hiss. This is because, when she was young, she tried to pick some droplets of ice off from the fur on her tail while preening herself. One of the pieces of ice ended up stuck between the tip of her tongue and the lower side of her mouth, and never melted. It doesn't seem to bother her much, however, as there are no events in the dragon social calendar which require the ability to say a tongue-twister.
