Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She hatched during the trouble times for dragons, alone, vulnerable and so very frightened.  It is during this time, the first Prince of Graystone found her and gave her the name Shalandar.  Why he saved her no one really knows, but beneath the Castle of Graystone she has resided ever since as a loyal fierce protector of the family Gray above.  On occasion, she will communicate telepathically to a chosen young heir the history of the house with vivid tales of epic battles fought in the early years of their great and noble house.  A most gentle dragon to the family Gray, but known for her great strength, her ability to throw huge rocks and even to  cause the earth to devour its enemies.
