Turpentine Dragons are named for the oil that covers their scales. This oil resembles turpentine in odor and is mildly toxic; it will not kill but it burns to the touch and will cause illness in anyone who ingests it. Turpentine Dragons roam in large packs, often stealing food from larger dragons, though they are able to hunt for themselves if necessary. Many other breeds consider Turpentine Dragons to be pests, so they primarily breed among themselves.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
From the moment Jinzare hatched, he has been an affectionate dragon. When he was a hatchling he would climb unto his master's shoulder, much to the irritation of his master. He doesn't get along with the other dragons of his unusual pack, so he tends to stay by the human that feeds him, even now that he's grown. Big for his age and breed, he still tries to get his large head under his master's arm, making soft chirping sounds as he does. It's his way of asking for a scratch behind the ears... granted that his master is wearing gloves so as not to irritate their skin. He has shown little interest in mating outside his species, which is to be understood. It's not expected for him to breed for another couple of years, since he is still a very young adult.
