Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It can fit right in your palm.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Teeny Miracle was found as an egg in an abandoned nest. The local chicken, Mrs. Cluckington, sat on it refused to leave the egg, even though it was so cold there was next to no chance of it actually hatching.

Though Miracle did hatch, it has never grown past the size of the youngest hatchlings, and still can't hunt anything larger than a cricket for itself. It's a rambunctious and playful little dragon, and often brings tiny treasures to its clanmates. Nobody else has the wit and miniscule body to get into Miracle's little crevice, so nobody has discovered its hoard of stolen beads, insect shells, and bright pebbles.
