Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A friendly, high-spirited creature, this dragon doesn't let the harsh rays of the sun keep him down. This behavior is unusual amongst the reclusive albinos, as is the fact that he is friends with so many daylight-dwellers. But still, he is geared towards being nocturnal...

He usually doesn't care about this, but of late he's noticed strange things in the dark. Odd shadows, eerie sounds... and his friends have reported that eggs and dragons have been disappearing. Rumors of something sinister in the night abound. And so Palepaw and his friends have made a resolution; together, they will solve this mystery, and put an end to the disappearances.

And perhaps during the course of this journey, Palepaw will discover what truly happened to his childhood friend...
