Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name not only refers to the shade of pink his scales dawn, but also the way he sees himself. Hot is the most self obsessed of all the Blackwings, even more so than his bratty sister, Flamingo. He's a narcissist through and through, only caring about he, himself, and thy, nobody or nothing else. He's very blatant about it, too, no need to hide a thing, he is out in the open about his vanity and doesn't care who knows it. He's a lot like his brother, Rivulet, in this way, both seem to lack a filter and will say and do whatever they want without regard for consequences. He has a contentious relationship with his sister, Flamingo. The both of them will turn on a dime in an instant. One second, they're screaming at each other the next they're perfectly calm, like nothing happened. It's very strange and leaves Heron, their eldest sister, very confused. But, ultimately, Hot is a pretty annoying dragon with very few, if any, redeeming qualities. No one likes him except himself.
