Caligene Dragons have long been considered omens of death—reinforced by the skeletal markings on their bodies. They exert a malignant force on the world around them, causing other living things to slowly waste away in their presence. Caligenes favor the seasons of summer and autumn, disappearing entirely from the forests they inhabit during winter and spring. These malevolent dragons are physically weak, though this is countered by their natural stealthiness and alarming speed—enabling them to close in on large targets quickly and silently to create ambushes from which prey cannot escape.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Although an Alpha Female of the tribe-pack of Revenga, Rotspore is rarely home to enjoy her rank. She prowls from tule marshes to steaming jungles to mangrove swamps along the coast in search of prey and of objects for her hoard. Unlike most local dragons, she doesn't make any effort to stay within the collective Breedery territory, instead roaming as she pleases. Rotspore has thus acquired a dark reputation that extends well beyond her home base. She does keep her lair near those of the other Revengas, though, and always returns to it to rest after her long wanders. She also keeps her collection of skulls and other trophies there, including the bones of human thieves who broke into her lair to steal her hoard, only to discover that her hoard consists entirely of bones and of cursed objects. She sometimes comes home to find new, hex-riddled human bodies in her den. She uses their bones to decorate, but in spite of this warning, foolish humans still try their luck sometimes.
