Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Manalakas is the average Lumina dragon-vain and yet very beautiful when it comes to the outside of them. However, this Lumina has a special interest, or in a better explanation, interests, and it's not just her glossy, stark white scales. Manalakas is a very curious dragon. She wants to find out stuff about everything she doesn't know, but she generally doesn't want to know too much. Basically, just the plain definition of something is satisfactory for her. Her curiosity gives her a special interest, and that interest is the study of other dragon breeds. Manalakas wants to know about every kind of dragon in existence, known, unknown, real, and mythical. She has spent some time studying the behaviors of certain dragon types, but because her curiosity only reaches a short distance, she moves on to the next breed once she's found out enough. She has collected some stones which are used for writing down her findings. She is quite a talented writer, according to these stones.
