Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Abandoned as a dying hatchling, Xae has never fully recovered from his ordeal. Despite his beautiful silver coat, he is humble, frail, and dedicated to his common black darling Kva. He does not possess much defiance, following the orders of the rest of Kad's clan without resistance or questions. However, within the timid dragon lurks a hopeful soul, spinning with ideas to end the worlds many misfortunes. One of his most profound experiences is that of his terrible starvation alone without a clan. He wishes that no young dragon will ever go through such torment again; he and Kva have devoted their lives to reduce the alarmingly high mortality rates due to lack of food in the winter.
