Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Soarin' Skies, or Soarin' for short, is a young Sunset dragon. He is very intelligent, and is the smartest of his clan. His mentor, Cloudhealer, taught him how to read as a hatchling, and when he got a little older, he devoted all of his spare time to studying and reading, and avoided the rest of his original clan. However, his father was worried about him having no friends and spending so much time alone, so he moved into Cloudhealer's clan's cave, where he met his mate, Sora the Elusive. Since then, he has made several friends, but lives in the clan's library of old books. He is naive, and because of this has no fear of humans. He is kind and bold towards his friends, but can come off as slightly shy and quiet to other dragons he's never met before. His mate, Sora the Elusive, loves reading as well, and acts a lot like him.
