Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Janice has decided that her life isn't quite so bad. Sure, she's being held captive by her half-brother, and is being used as a kind of replacement for their shared mother (due to her not returning his affections), and yes, she is kept under close watch, and isn't allowed out of Oedipus' sight for any extended period of time, but all those things are absolutely tiny in comparison to the bigger picture. Not that she's quite figured out what the bigger picture is and how her being her brother's mate and being kept as a kind-of prisoner fits into that, but she's pretty sure she'll figure it out eventually.

... Maybe. She hasn't quite decided she WANTS to know what kind of picture requires these circumstances.
