Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
"Underneath the mistletoe, hidden inside the sacred grove; that is where love was born found and grown."
The young hatchlings groaned as the white-flecked Christmas dragon chuckled, shifting herself into a more comfy position before proceeding to tell the rest of the passed down story. The story, as one could wonder, was chock-full of interesting battles, romance, and adventuring. It tells of a tale of a single unnamed hatchling, venturing out on a quest to find the rest of its clan after being "borrowed", ahem, captured, by cruel wizard humans wishing to know more about dragon magic.
After finishing telling the whimsical story, the hatchlings stared at her in awe before running off to pester the other elders. She chuckled, stretching her blue-green wings, before tucking her head inside. That story was told by her elders, from their elders told from their elders, 'till eventually it was back to the original dragon telling the story, the Great Christmas spirit. Smiling, she dozed off.
