White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Svengali Dorkface was so named because his magic is one of the best in the clan. He is also from a legendary line of dragons, relative to several other dragons in the clan. He enjoys warm rains and blackberries, and is the Elder of the Magic dragons in the clan, something which Meneswi, a maji dragon, greatly resents, since she was in the clan long before Svengali. Still, Svengali holds the respect, if not admiration, from all the members of the clan. He enjoys entertaining the hatchlings and other dragons with his magic, sharing his secrets here and there to be sure the magic will not die when he does, even though that's still a long way off.

Svengali does his best to hide an ancient injury to his right back leg that shows itself once in a while. On those days, he stays in his thicket where he resides when he is not out elsewhere, claiming to "just need some rest". Only few of the dragons know of his injury, but only the Mistress knows how he got it.
