Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sun is quiet shy and is scared of most dragons. He flies away during the sunrise to go with his own kind for most of the day. He enjoys flying around the day hunting only when hungry. Unlike the rest of the Sunrise dragons, he prefers to be alone. He wants to see his home, Ashenvale but doesn't want to go with the Vampire Dragon in the clan. He's very shy and refuses to breed with most dragons. The leader of the clan wants to get close to him so he can help him but he can't. Sun knew Ashenvale wasn't far away, but had no hope. He decided to fly there, resting only for a little bit. On his trip there he realized how weak he was and knew he couldn't travel alone. Icewing, the youngest was going to Ashenvale, Volcane. Volcane is at the very edge of Ashenvale. Icewing spotted Sun and picked him up onto her wings and carried him to Volcane, also where Sun was headed. Sun woke up and saw Icewing eating a Pymgy Dragon. Frightened but glad, Sun went under Icewing's wings and slept again.
