This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There is a legend among the dragons of Sunfeather's clan that speaks of an immensely powerful dragon known only as the Composer. It is said that he watches over the clan's territory and protects it from threats. According to the dragons, few have ever met him, and fewer still have lived to tell the tale. However, that isn't the whole story.

Even a dragon as powerful as the Composer feels loneliness, but when one is viewed as some kind of deity it is hard to make friends. Luckily, having god-like powers comes in useful in many situations, from protecting the land to casting a basic transformation spell. And hey, if your friends think that you are just a simple young white dragon, that's fine. Sometimes it is worth giving up legend status to mingle with the common folk.
