Oracle Wyrms find solace in quiet, secluded areas with mist or fog, such as swamps, oceans, and in the valleys between mountains. In this environment, they enjoy hiding, spying, and contemplating deeply. Oracle Wyrms prefer to live in solitude away from other dragons. However, when they cross paths with one, these wyrms move their floating whiskers to enhance communication, often boasting the intricate riddles they’ve come up with. Their solitary nature has led to the belief that spotting one is a terrible omen and will bring misfortune. Despite this, these wyrms do not bring any harm or misfortune, but merely observe humans as well as animals, livestock, insects and whatever else they can find. They particularly enjoy observing small villages, occasionally inciting harmless mischief.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shaman is a sweet, gentle wyrm with all the loving care of a mother. Even before she had kids she acted like this, seeking to take care of anyone she found in need. One of those happened to be the cold, adamant Royal Blue, Frost, who wound up at her doorstep after a blizzard even an icy dragon like him couldn't take. They became so infatuated with each other that they mated and had two hatchlings. Shaman is even happier now than ever to actually have younger dragons to care for, though her son, Gypsy, true to their breed, was quick to leave the family and isolate himself in the valley. Still, Shaman loves him and everyone else in Frost's much more extravagant family, though they aren't always sure what to make of her. Many of them see her as invasive or nosey, especially given her breed's almost voyeuristic tendencies. But Shaman always keeps that kind attitude at the forefront and is quick to disregard any judgement, though Frost is not as keen on anyone passing remarks about her.
