Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

It was a dark and icy cold night in the valley of the witch. All creatures, critters and dragons had withdrawn into their warm homes to escape the unforgiving cold that had left the valley glittering of pure white frost.

But not all was still in the night; the skies were alive with color. So strangely bright were the flames that even the dragons of winter covered in uneasiness of the burning sky.

The following morning, only briefly would the sun peek above the horizon, but out in the bluish day rode the witch, in search of such curious things only a witch would know of. What she returned with was two eggs colored of the same bright flames of the northern night.

The second dragon to hatch from the eggs was a male of mischievous nature. Elusive and clever, no one is ever quite sure of his figure. A cunning young dragon, but like his older brother Mistelteinn, his intentions are never as chilly and unforgiving as the night he was born.

The name he received was Ymireygr, the eye of Ymir.
