Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Death Wish" in Japanese, and she's a daughter of Zetsumei and Shinigami. As with the rest of the vampire dragons, her parents have a bit of a dark humor, hence her name. Ishi, while dead herself, is a marvelous gardener, and can coax life out of the most reluctant seeds. She especially loves to grow flowers, since they smell so nice and are so beautiful. Everybody likes flowers she says, but not everyone likes vampires. All the other dragons in the colony love Ishi though, regardless of her nature. She's very popular, especially amongst the other female dragons, who love her cut flowers and sunny personality. She met her mate Koushukei when she was hanging out with friends. She noticed a shy dragon hanging off to the side, staring at her longingly. Turns out he had a crush on her, but was too nervous to say anything. She noticed though, and introduced herself. They were courting soon after, and then mates. They are soul mates and love each other more than anything else.
