Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Antigra is the first hatchling in the Towa clan who chose to become frozen, not by becoming so naturally. She has a close bond to her father Littlemynt, who is a Mint dragon. She knows how insecure Littlemynt is around the Purple dragon Carnivale, his mate and Antigra's mother, for how much larger she is than him. So Antigra chose to be frozen to make her father feel a little better. And it worked to perfection. Her father is much brighter than normal, and he and Carnivale have had another clutch of eggs. Antigra cannot wait until her little sister hatches, and she can't help but wonder if her sister will end up becoming her elder after all.
