Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Nilaendra has always been adorable. When she was a little hatchling she would stand in the hatchling-pasture jumping of excitement every morning when her beloved foster parent arrived, and as she opened the gate to get in Nilaendra would jump her, sit down in her lap and in that way make shure she was fed first and also got all the attention. Her owner is glad to say that Nilaendra is just as happy to see her everyday as she was when she was a tiny little hatchling. The one problem is that she does not seem to realize that she now weigh over 21 tons. She loves to hide behind one of the big rocks outside the cave as her "mother" arrive and then she loves to jump out and start chasing her around for attention and food. The chase most often end quickly and rather painless(although her poor owner did break three ribs once).
Nilaendra can be both rowdy and unruly but she has got a great heart and would never pick on or bully any of the other dragons.
