Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon belongs to a breed long believed to be extinct. His breed was known to live long, even by dragon standards, and to change their appearance and personality from time to time, mimicking other breeds. Although he never tells someone his real name, he is now known to the dragons of the clan as "The Bohemian".

After changing, yet again, this dragon knows that he has reached the climax of his evolution personality-wise (at least for now). He might seem strange, almost alien, in his behaviour, but his presence and charisma sure make more than up for it. He is quite aware how he seems to other dragons and moves with a confidence that befits his current body. On the other hand he can be quite silly, goofing around when the mood strikes him and loves to tell the most abstruse stories of his travels. He also has a soft spot for sweets and the clan's resident Guardian of Nature hatchling.
