Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The fire's warm glow cast shadows on the rough walls, that danced as the relentless winter winds whipped the flames into submission. Dragons were basking in the warmth of the fire, in attempt to drive away the bone-chilling cold. Hoarst'friio stood alone in the frigid night, gazing longingly at the fire--- a wild and miraculous creature that could both kill and heal. He yearns to feel its warmth on his frozen scales, to drive away the penetrating cold that was always there. But ice is what kept Hoarst'friio's heart beating, and a single touch might mean his death. That hasn't kept him from dreaming of a place where he and the wild creature are akin. Where there is no heat or cold, only light.
