Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yinlin's name is one that many fear, and for good reason. He is known for his wicked nature and belligerent personality -- if angered he will quickly respond with his claws and will do anything to get what he wants. Violence seems to run through his veins. Coupled with his lack of respect for anyone but himself, he is seen as truly evil.

Yet there is another, lighter side that few see. A pure light lays buried somewhere deep inside him, and when it breaks through his inherent darkness, his eyes blaze with white light and it fills his entire body with something akin to kindness. Kindness that leads him to save rather than kill.

Unfortunately these moments are few and far between, but his sister Yangla does seem to bring out the best in him whenever they are together. The pair has a strange way of complementing each other. What Yinlin lacks in decorum, Yangla more than makes up for with her kindness.
