Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Kurimu is in charge of observing all the cheeses the Sylvain clan has stored in a special community cave near the ocean. The moist air and relatively stable temperature make the cave an ideal place for the cheese dragon to stay, and Kurimu feels particularly at home amidst all the aged and packaged cheeses kept safe for celebrations and festivals. Sometimes a clan member will ask Kurimu to pick out some cheeses to make into sculptures, since Kurimu is particularly knowledgeable about the cheese textures and appearances.
