Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cygnus Mei has always been smaller than most black dragons and he matured very slowly. He was very ill and Lyra often worried that he would not survive. Cygnus is not very social. He has only ever bonded with Lyra, the human who raised him, and his dear friend Apocynacea Linnaeus, the magi dragon. These bonds, however, are very strong, and he would do just about anything for either of his two friends. He has always had a very timid and gentle nature, he is never the first to speak, nor to attack, and this trait has often been mistaken for weakness. However, threaten those he holds dear, and you will witness incredible strength, woven together with powerful magic with such intricacy and precision that ordinary attacks and magic begin to seem clumsy by comparison. By those who don't know them, Cygnus and Apocynacea are often mistaken either for lovers or siblings. In fact they were not part of the same clutch, and their relationship is purely platonic.
