Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Trollhammaren (the trollhammer) is a loud, boisterous dragon. When he hits the ground with his tail, the sound that can be heard in the distant villages is so much like the pounding of a hammer on an anvil that people thought there must be a mighty troll (who happens to be a blacksmith) living in those caves. When he heard of this story, he laughed so loudly that he caused an avalanche, and insisted on being called Trollhammaren. It doesn't really matter what others call him, as he is rude and coarse and they mostly avoid him. He does get along with the other Green Dragon who is also a bit of an outcast for killing her own egg, but they fight so much that it is hard to believe that they are actually what they consider to be "deeply in love"...
