Hellhorse Dragons are foul-tempered, spirited creatures with tempestuous and violent dispositions. Torrents of scorching flames erupt from their bodies and can easily set their surroundings ablaze. Highly aggressive and territorial toward other dragon species, Hellhorses will tolerate others as long as they believe the association to be beneficial. Such alliances are tenuous in nature and frequently short-lived, as the slightest disagreement can easily escalate into a full-out brawl.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Though this dragon was never formally given a name, every dragon in Pteprocks' Clan knows of him. Some years ago, as a hatchling, he was responsible for the murder of the clan's human proprietor. The aged, wise alchemist was attempting to cast an anti-aging spell on the hatchling, who dodged, attacked the alchemist and burned him to a crisp.
The alchemist's death shocked the elders and nobles of the clan, and when word got out, other dragons began to frown upon the members of a clan whose dragons would kill their master. Therefore the dragon was banished, and the clan was plunged into a period of fighting and strife, until finally a new proprietor, an aspiring young mage and grandchild of the alchemist-- who writes these words-- arrived.
As for the dragon himself, he still upholds that he did no wrong. In fact, he has vowed to return one day, to exact his revenge on the clan nobles, as well as the new proprietor, for wrongfully accusing him.
