Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A hot-headed, foul-mouthed, irredeemable jerk of a dragon, this beast enjoys swimming in lava far more than in water, a result of his magma-laden heritage. Yet even MORE than magma baths he enjoys screaming into the air about a hated enemy that no one is quite sure actually exists, seething about "I can't believe his power level is OVER NINE THOUSAND" and "how DARE his hair be bigger than mine!" Shrieks of what sounds like "Kaikarot" are frequently mixed into these tirades, presumably the name of his enemy. Since the grumpy devil has never deigned to share his own name, however, he's started to be called the very same by the locals, as warning newcomers about "Kaikarot" is easier than warning them about "the dragon who shrieks Kaikarot all the freakin' time." Needless to say this insult has only made him all the more outraged, the dragon frequently attempting (and failing) to make a local volcano erupt to kill everybody near him.
