Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Echidne was named after a serpentine dragon monster from Greek Mythology, a subject her human loves to study. She doesn't have as strong of a motherly instinct as her name sake, although she can be just as dangerous when angered. Echidne mostly sticks to herself in the deeper areas of the cave, although she does visit with her human at least weekly, sometimes even daily. She uses her power over earth to make beautiful carvings in the stone walls, as well as statues, although she does not share these works of art with many beings other than her human.
