Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Kami's gender is unknown, but the dragons treat it like a girl, and therefore refer to it as a 'she'. 'She' is highly cautious, and for good reasons, since it's so easy to accidentally burn if you're made of paper.

When Kami was enchanted, a portion of the spell went wrong and as a result, she'll often be totally unresponsive and her behavior is a little erratic. Nevertheless, the other dragons are fascinated with her, and continue to hang out around her to understand her a little better.
